What You’ll Do:

As a User Interface Design Intern at Mapable, you will play a critical role in creating intuitive, user-friendly designs that enhance the user experience. Your work will directly impact how people with accessibility needs interact with and benefit from our app.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the product and development teams to conceptualize and implement design solutions.

• Create visually appealing, accessible UI components for our mobile app and website.

• Design interactive and engaging map interfaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

• Develop prototypes and mockups to effectively communicate design ideas.

• Incorporate user feedback and data-driven insights into iterative design improvements.

• Maintain brand consistency across all design elements.

• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and guidelines (e.g., WCAG).

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in UI design, preferably for mobile applications.

• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

• Strong understanding of UX principles and accessibility best practices.

• Experience designing for diverse user groups, including people with disabilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Strong portfolio showcasing previous UI design projects.
